The Representatives of MPDE Members districts came together in a Planning Retreat on July 17th to review and assess the results of the 2018-2019 Operations Plan and to develop the plan for 2019-2010. This was an annual event that MPDE has conducted over the years and one that provides the opportunity for the HR Directors and Administrators who represent the district members of MPDE to reflect on the Mission of the Organization to increase the representation of educators of color in MPDE districts.

Through the courtesy of Dr. Claudia Rinaldi, Associate Professor/Chair at Lasell College, MPDE was invited to conduct this year's Retreat on Lasell's campus. We are very grateful to Dr. Rinaldi, who participated in the MPDE Building Bridges Conference this past February and presented information on the program she conducts at Lasell, "Pathways to Increasing Teacher Diversity," for the opportunity to enjoy Lasell's campus for the 2019 MPDE Retreat venue.
